Think Micro Focus are trying to replace your open-source test tools? Think again!
During this year’s Universe event, Micro Focus made it very clear – They are actively embracing open-source and announced wide-ranging integrations, efficiencies, and mutually beneficial enhancements.
Here’s just a taste of what was covered…
Why Use Open-Source with Micro Focus?
Using Micro Focus tools in conjunction with open-source tools gives all manner of benefits. A couple of these include…
- You can accelerate Selenium scripting with UFT Developer
- You can greatly increase visibility by using Jenkins withALM Octane
- You can use cloud infrastructure by running Jmeter scripts through LoadRunner Cloud
These are just the tip of the iceberg; there are many, many more out-of-the-box integrations.
If You’re Already Using Micro Focus Test Tools
A lot of you are working in organisations with both Open-Source and Micro Focus tools. In this case, combining the tools will take your testing to the next level, providing visibility and robustness alongside flexibility.
If you have access to the tools, it makes sense to use them together. The Micro Focus Universe sessions will give you more details.
If You’re Not Using Micro Focus Test Tools
If you’re an enterprise level organisation, open-source can be seen as a dark art. Investing a small amount in Micro Focus tools (they’re much cheaper than you think) could give you more control and clarity, in addition to the benefits mentioned above.
If you have not looked at Micro Focus test tools – they can improve the speed, coverage and consistency of testing – we should be talking.
